Stopping on Lynburke Road

Lynburke Road, also called Route 5, is a two-lane highway that runs from Lyndon, Vermont, north through the town of Burke, continuing past Crystal Lake to Barton. (Not hard to figure out where it gets its name!) A number of small ponds and marshes dot the valley it traverses, most of them with no publicized names; this one had a nice foreground of grasses and backdrop of autumn color.
