Cliff Geyser gets its name from the fact that it is surrounded by walls of geyserite, one of which borders directly on Iron Creek, the body of water that runs through Black Sand Basin. This geyser reaches heights of several dozen feet, and is somewhat irregular in its schedule, so we were lucky to be there when it was erupting.
