Small waterfalls plunge down this sheer cliff visible from the Icefields Parkway, creating the impression of streams of tears. The water flow is slight and so the area is not that impressive in the summer, but in the winter these cascades freeze to create towering ice falls, and the very accessible location makes the Weeping Wall one of the most popular ice climbing areas in the Canadian Rockies. The Indian Paintbrush was my consolation prize for being here in the "wrong" season.
