Whistlers Peak

Like Whistler Mountain in southwestern British Columbia, Whistlers Peak was probably named for the sound made by the hoary marmot, a large rodent found all over the higher elevations of the Rockies. (You can see a picture of one in the Yoho National Park - Lake O'Hara sceneset.) Mosses with pretty, short-lived summer flowers thrive here as well. The Colin Range looms in the background.
