Sometimes you find yourself between the sun and the shot you want to get, especially near sunrise or sunset. The result is a scene as close to a self-portrait as you will ever get out of me. :)

The color was absolutely dazzling in this spot, and the golden light helped further. The phot was taken near the intersection of two winding dirt roads near Canaan, Vermont, in the northeastern part of the Northeast Kingdom. Note the nearly full moon, top center.
